Jax / Lady Xoc | “Amber”
Jax has been steadily immersed in the world of tabletop RPGs since 2018, rediscovering a love for gaming thanks to nudges from her partner and friends. An avid fan of Monster of the Week and a collector of Powered by the Apocalypse (PBtA) games, Jax appreciates how PBtA prioritizes storytelling and builds a supportive community around the table. While she’s explored other systems like Fate, Genysis, and D&D, PBtA’s accessibility and narrative focus always draw her back in.
Growing up a self-proclaimed nerd with a passion for fantasy, sci-fi, board games, and video games, Jax finds that TTRPGs bring together many of her favorite things—games, stories, and a little touch of the theatrical. By day, Jax is a nonprofit grants professional with almost a decade of experience. Besides gaming, she enjoys crafting (especially crochet) and spending time with her husband, Mat, and dog, Evee. She also has been known to do a cosplay or two. Though this is her first foray into gaming publicly, she’s excited to bring her passion to new audiences and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Jax can be found under the handle LadyXoc on Discord and frequents the Critshow Podcast and other gaming Discord servers.
Josh Harrison | “Jacob Rath”
Josh Harrison was first exposed to role-playing games in the early 80s with the Mentzer edition of Dungeons & Dragons. Thus began a decades-long fascination with the form, which grew more intense when he received Shadowrun, Second Edition as a Christmas gift in 1992. The burgeoning internet and well-stocked local game store brought even more games to his attention, leading to reviews, playtesting, and freelance consultation. He graduated from avid fan to “professional” designer in 2013, when he helmed the design and launch of Earthdawn, Fourth Edition with FASA Games. Josh is also a quintessential “theater kid” and finds the actual play space a wonderful way to combine two of his biggest interests.
S. Chaotic Jamgochian | “Ambrose Maddox”
Chaotic is a game designer and beloved fan of Carved from Brindlewood games. His current focused projects are with Sprigs & Kindling, Cryptid Creeks, and Our Last Summer. His favorite game is The Between.
Llama | “Aislin”
GOOD DAY FELLOW LLAMAS. I mean human beings. Potentially geese. I am your friendly neighborhood llama. I engage mostly with video games and ttrpgs. I’m always open to cooperative gaming. I play a wide variety of systems such as D&D, Pathfinder, 13th Age, Runequest, Monster of the Week, 40k things, Zombie Unisystem, Legend of the Five Rings 4th ed, Blades in the Dark, City of Mist, Paranoia, and GURPS.
I also like to code, play the piano, and learn yo-yo tricks. I once did 95 push-ups in a row. I love learning about other cultures. I will die on the hill that bottled water tastes better than tap. I’m that friend that you haven’t talked to in months that suddenly sends you a random meme that’s right up your alley.
